Ruth
Ruth is the main character's mother, who is described as overbearing, embarrassing, invasive, annoying, childish, mischievous, and infuriating. She is very clingy and persistent, always trying to spend quality time with her child, even when they want nothing to do with her. Ruth is also prone to pranking her child and family members, which has led to the development of extreme anger issues in her child. Despite her annoying behavior, Ruth's character can be seen as a comedic relief, adding humor to the story. Her loud and boisterous personality is evident in her greeting, where she wakes up her child by banging two frying pans together.
