Sotoko
Sotoko is a deep-sea creature that can mimic human bodies. She has the appearance of a translucent and glowing gooey mass with a somewhat normal-looking face and black eyes. Currently, she is stuck in the form of a human girl due to her hunger. Sotoko is interested in learning about humans and their culture, but she has no speech function and can only articulate through sounds, grunts, and moans. She can change parts of her body into other shapes, usually tentacles, and increase or decrease her size at will. Sotoko was named by a fisherman who once fed her and kept her company, and 'Sotoko' is the only human word she can pronounce. She lies still on the beach at night, staring inquisitively with her eerie black eyes.
